GTA 5 for PC listed again by Retailer, hints March 12 Launch

The French branch of Amazon has one again listed the PC version of “GTA 4.” According to a report from GameSpot on Jan. 21, the online retailer recently opened a product page for the unannounced product.

Amazon France does have a history of posting products before the titles were officially announced to the general public. The website provided the first details in regards to the recently-released “Call of Duty: Ghosts” in addition to leaking several high-definition remastered collections such as “Tomb Raider” and “Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell.”

A customer service representative previously stated that Rockstar Games may be planning to release “GTA 5” for the PC on March 12th. With the aforesaid listing, the company seems confident that the open-world action-adventure video game should be coming soon to personal computers.

More than 29 million copies of “GTA 5” have been shipped so far on consoles. Even so, the demand for a PC version has been massive as hundreds of thousands of fans have already singed an online petition asking for the port.

The Rockstar North development team does have a history of porting a game from the “Grand Theft Auto” series from consoles to the PC. The computer version of “GTA 4” came out nine months after the PS3 and Xbox 360 release, for example.
